Product Description:

BitFury 110 Gh/s unit powered using three powerful 2kW MeanWell power supplies that downconvert grid voltage to safe 12.0 V voltage that is distributed to boards with processors. 6 x 6U rackmount PCB holders that contains 10 boards each with 6 processors on board. Although you may see 8 daughter card slots in gallery, we could not use them all due to cooling problems. Each board contains microcontroller and is connected to RS-485 bus. RS-485 bus is connected to server based on Intel Atom D525 board.

Cooling solution could vary, from simple conditioning equipment to multi-zone industrial air-conditioning equipment. In our first deployment we have installed air-water heat exchanger and water-water heat pump to produce hot water and house heating during cold season. This approach (using mining equipment to produce hot water and house heating) would prolong installation lifetime, even if BitCoin system difficulty would significantly drop, or exchange rate significantly drop. For household usage mining module with heat pump can be good heater, while producing both BitCoins and heat as useful product.

Two BitFury 110 Gh/s units were built, one started full operation on 4th March 2012, another one started operations on 9th April 2012. 75 blocks solved in solo-mining mode. System works stable at ambient temperature 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius inlet temperature after cooling heat exchanger.
